Library tour - 6th floor
Open on 17 March 2003, is designated
as a reading area.

LINC, the NUS Library's online public
access catalogue, contains records of books, journals, theses, conference
proceedings, microforms, AV materials, and CD-ROMs available in all the
NUS Libraries. Please note the location
codes indicated in LINC.
Patrons
can also check their library records for information about their loans,
requests, fines, or renew their loans, etc. It is also
accessible through any terminal connected to NUSNET, the campus
network, or Internet.

Equipped with 29 PCs, training room is now open for students' use from
Monday to Friday (8.00am to 8.45pm). Advance notice will be given when
the room is reserved for group viewing of audio-visual materials and
for conducting Library orientation as well as information skill sessions.
Current issues of Medical Library journals are shelved by title in
alphabetical order. The locations of the issues are shown in LINC as
MD Current Journals. MD Current Journals are for use in Library only.
Bound issues of Medical Library journals are shelved by title in alphabetical
order. The locations of the issues are shown in LINC as MD Bound Journals.
MD Bound Journals are not for loan to students. Many older issues are
kept in Central Library closed stacks, with the location shown in LINC
as "CL Closed Stacks". For graduate students and staff, these
may be requested using the E-form for Intralibrary Loans if the desired
pick-up location is Medical / Science Library.
Print jobs may be sent to the network printer station, either from
a laptop, or from the E-resources PCs available at Level 4 and the Training
Room at Level 6. The printer name is currently \\sdeserver\LIB_MONO_PCL
. Instructions for connecting to the printer may be requested at the
Information desk (4th Floor). This printer is operated by a cash card.
Approach the staff at the photocopy room on the 5th floor to buy or
top-up your cashcard.
Note: The entire floor is equipped with wireless base stations to enable
notebook users to connect to the campus network.
This service is operated by a commercial vendor. The machines accept
cashcards. Approach the staff at the photocopy room, on the 5th floor,
to top-up your cashcard. Please observe the Copyright Act and the NUS
Library Rules on Photocopying.
