RBR Collection

To search whether the Library has an item in the RBR (Reserved Books/Readings) Collection, which contains items recommended by lecturers for their courses and can be loaned for two hours or overnight:

Click on RBR Collection (Course Number) from the main menu of search options.

At the search box, type in the complete course number or as much of the course number as you want, e.g. HY2208 or HY2*.

If there is no exact match, a list of course number near what you typed is shown.

If the course number you typed can be matched exactly, the list of readings for the course is shown.

Take note of the Location and Call #, e.g. CL RBR   DS802 His 2008. Go to the loans desk of the library to request for the item from the RBR Collection. You may loan the item for two hours or overnight.

Click on Another Search to do another RBR Course Number search or click on Start Over to search by another option.

You can also search the RBR Collection by lecturer name. You can also use any other option from the search menu like author or title.

Besides books, the lecturer may recommend journal articles or book chapters for a course with copies kept in RBR for the students' reference called I-copies, e.g. with location and call # CL RBR   I-0023.

Please note that with E-reserves, some readings are available with electronic full text on Integrated Virtual Learning Environment (IVLE) under the individual course.
