Audiovisual Collection

NUS Libraries Digital/AV (AudioVisual) collection includes:

1) Laserdiscs, videocassettes, audiocassettes, interactive CDs, VCDs, DVDs, audio CDs ... etc.
2) CD-ROM databases
3) Internet or e-resources (e-books and e-journals)

Search Tips to Finding AV materials in LINC

1) Go to LINC http://linc.nus.edu.sg/search~/

2) Under SEARCH special collection:, click on Digital/AV Collection

3) If exact Title, Author, etc. is not known, use "Simple search" and type in keywords.

e.g. family relationships

→Search results are sorted by date by default. Choose to sort by "Relevance" or "Title" if desired.

4) Use to set other search limits such as year of publication, language and physical format (videocassette, etc)

5) In the list of results, AV titles are denoted by square brackets (eg. [videorecording]) after the title.

Click on desired title to see full display

Note down the STACK# and go to the location stated to request use of the material

Location
Status

OR, click on hyperlinks to view digitized video

Important Note:

a) Audiovisual items are for viewing in library premises only

b) Certain Digital/AV materials are restricted to staff/students taking a course of study

c) Persons who are not staff/students of NUS, and certain casual/part-time NUS personnel do not have access to Digital/AV resources due to license restrictions

6) Type another keyword or Click on Modify Search to search using other criteria
or click on Start Over to search by another option.
