  Central Library is a multi-disciplinary library serving all NUS staff and students and primarily those from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, the School of Computing and the School of Design and Environment.  Its collection covers Architecture, Building and Real Estate, Engineering & Technology, Computer Science, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.  

The Central Library collection comprises (as at June 2008):

  • 735,965 unique book titles
  • 1,846,996 book volumes
  • 31,805 journal titles
  • 5,672 current journal subscriptions
  • 18,739 audiovisual titles
  • 1,123 CD-ROM titles

  • Rare Books Collection
    The Rare Books Collection consists mainly of first, limited or special editions of books covering various disciplines and bearing imprint dates from around the seventeenth to the early twentieth century. Included are titles on early voyages of discovery to the Malay Archipelago and folio books with beautiful illustrations in colour of the flora and fauna of this region.
